TRIO Programs
TRIO refers to a series of programs to help low-income students enter college, graduate and move on to participate more fully in America’s economic social life. While student financial aid programs help overcome financial barriers to higher education, TRIO programs help overcome class, social, and cultural barriers to higher education. TRIO programs include GEAR UP, Upward Bound, Upward Bound/Math Science and Educational Talent Search.
Student Counseling
College life is complicated. The Â鶹´«Ã½ Counseling Center offers individual and group counseling and training to help students cope with challenges such as adjustment difficulties, academic-related stress and relationship problems.
Student Government
As the official representatives of the student body, the Student Government Association (SGA) advocates for students and offers opportunities to share concerns, express opinions, jointly participate in the resolution of problems and make recommendations to the proper Â鶹´«Ã½ officials. The SGA and its representatives on committees provide students a role in institutional decision making.
