Â鶹´«Ã½ University Summer Arts Intensives

RESIDENTIAL CAMP

June 10—16, 2018 
Rising 6—10th Grades 
Ages 11—14

CUSAI Residential is a week long (Sun.-Sat.) unique summer arts intensive providing participants with high-level artistic instruction and practical hands-on training by college professors with the assistance of five college student mentors. CUSAI is designed to cultivate interest and a life long appreciation of the arts, including Acting, Art, Dancing, Music, Television and Video Production. Morning instruction will be conducted by college  professors with the assistance of students majoring in one of the specified artistic disciplines. Afternoons and evenings will be devoted to application through rehearsals and preparation for the production. Artistic and cultural exploration away from campus will be held Thursday, June 14th and a culminating performance will be held on the final day of camp, Saturday June 16th.

KIDS’ DAY CAMP 

June 18—29, 2018 
Rising K—5th Grades 
Ages 6—10

CUSAI Day is a ten-day camp held from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, providing participants the opportunity to act, sing, dance, design and construct while preparing for their culminating performance. Morning instruction will be conducted by college professors, and the afternoons will be devoted to preparing and rehearsing for the culminating performance. Additional supervision and mentoring will be provided by upper level college students studying one of the specified disciplines. Wednesdays will be devoted to artistic and cultural exploration away from campus, and the culminating performance will be held on the final day of camp, Friday, June 29th.

Eligibility Requirements

Must Have:
-Completed parent and student application, highlight-ing primary and secondary areas of arts interests.
-An overall grade point average of a “C” or better.
-A “B” average in ALL arts-related courses.
-Two recommendation forms from school officials.
 (ONE MUST BE COMPLETED BY AN ART-RELATED TEACHER) FOR RESIDENTIAL ONLY
-200-word essay by student describing their interest in the arts and its importance. FOR RESIDENTIAL ONLY
