The Bachelor of Arts degree in Studio Art offers intellectual and technical training to students in visual literacy, critical thinking, critical decision making, and the promotion of these transferable skills with effective visual fortitude. Our Studio Art professors are professional artists and designers who are actively engaged in exhibiting their work, and maintaining strong connections in the visual arts and academic communities.
Curriculum
Studio Art majors receive training from talented artists in a variety of areas, including drawing, painting, art history, sculpture, ceramics, graphic design, printmaking, museum and archival techniques, and photography. Instruction is available in 2-D and 3-D design, art history and digital arts.
Students who earn a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Studio Art can use their skills and experience to enhance their art skills, enrich the lives of others, and find graduate school or job opportunities following graduation.
