Â鶹´«Ã½ University's emphasis on disciplines related to Science Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) has helped establish the University as a destination for high school scholars preparing for careers in a technology-driven society. A group of academically talented students are participating in Â鶹´«Ã½'s Consortium Enabling Cybersecurity Opportunities & Research (CECOR) - Summer Bridge Program. The seven students enrolled in the program are high school graduates who will attend Â鶹´«Ã½ this fall. The CECOR Program is funded by the National Nuclear Security Administration.
 
The students and program director Dr. Deidra J. Morrison recently traveled to Orlando, Fla., to tour the Simulation and Training Lab at the University of Central Florida, Universal Studios and Wonderworks, a high-tech interactive entertainment venue. Morrison is also assistant professor of computer science at Â鶹´«Ã½.
